Emily Howorth is a communications specialist in the Office of the Vice Chancellor for University Relations. In that role, she assists with communications related to the University’s strategic and external communications. She was previously a communications specialist with the Office of the Vice Chancellor for Research and Sponsored Programs and served as the principal writer for Change Agents, the University’s research magazine, in that role. Emily received a BA in English from Vassar College and an MFA in Creative Writing from Texas State University-San Marcos, where she was a W. Morgan and Lou Claire Rose Fellow. Before joining Ole Miss, she was a legislative assistant for the Media Coalition, a NYC-based non- profit first amendment rights organization. In addition to her role as a communications specialist, she teaches as an adjunct instructor in the Department of Writing and Rhetoric.
