Writing & Rhetoric Involved with New Digital Media Studies Interdisciplinary Minor

Beginning fall 2016, the University of Mississippi will unveil a new interdisciplinary minor in Digital Media Studies. This minor will draw courses from Computer Science, Art, Journalism, and Writing and Rhetoric.The Digital Studies minor will give students access to careers in web development, data analytics, computational art, digital graphic design, data visualization, internet and social media marketing, and mobile application development. All students begin with 2 core courses, a new DMS 101 and a Computer Science 203. From there students will choose electives based on three tracks: Computing, Digital Communications, or Digital Art. The Digital Communications track will include Writing & Rhetoric courses, including Writing 350: Digital Writing.
