LIBA 102, Section 9 – M W F 01:00P-01:50P
The purpose of this seminar is to introduce the students to thinking critically about respect, tolerance and inclusion in regards to individual and worldviews. Students will have a chance to be exposed to different cultures and discuss their perspectives in a civil manner. We will talk about music, food, and other culturally specific traditions. Exposure can lead to understanding. The course will focus on teaching students how to do research and understand different cultures and different points of view. During the research process, students will construct a comparative analysis on their views coming into the course and their post research views. The research will either support or contradict their current beliefs regarding the selected culture, culminating in a final presentation of student research and interviews from “Outside of the Bubble.”
